#4.  Chucky (Child’s Play)

I think that the thing here is in the basic concept itself:

No matter how you look at it, there is something very disturbing about a toy that kills people. Possessed by the soul of the satanic Charles Lee Ray, this evil doll – “Chucky”, is always in for the kill. He always does it with style, and often throws in a joke or sarcastic remark to brighten things up.

He is rather creative and surprising for a murderous doll, and you usually don’t know what to expect of him or how to predict his moves. While the movies themselves do provide some comic relief at times, Chucky himself is someone you just don’t want to laugh at.
