#1.  NASA Faked The Moon Landings

In 1969, spacecraft Apollo 11 landed on the moon. Or at least, that’s what most people say and believe.

According to theorists, however, the moon landing is a conspiracy, and the Apollo program as well as the associated moon landings were entirely or partially hoaxes staged by NASA with assistance from other organizations.

Some of the theories surrounding this subject are that the Apollo astronauts did not actually land on the Moon. They claim that NASA and possibly other bodies had manufactured and tampered with/destroyed evidence deliberately, for leading the public into believing the landings did occur. Those who think that NASA faked some or all of the landings base their theories on photographs from the lunar surface which according to them, show camera crosshairs partially behind rocks, a flag planted by one of the astronauts moving in a “strange way”, and shadows falling in an unreasonable direction.

In this case, like in most theories, many have published extensive rebuttals to the hoax claims, and these theories have been generally discounted. However, the avid believers are still certain that these are true and that NASA and the others continue to actively participate in the conspiracy to this day.
