Neil Armstrong Lands on the moon – July 20, 1969

Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin, and Michael Collins, Nasa’s best astronauts carried by Apollo 11 landed on the moon (Collins stayed in orbit around the Moon) on July 20, 1969. Armstrong and Aldrin became the first humans to walk on it. The flight was part of the Space Race. It finished the plan set by John F. Kennedy.
